Tribute to Demis Roussos

A world-renowned idol of the 1970s, the singer Demis Roussos died on 25 January 2015, aged 70, at a hospital in Athens, Greece. Born of Greek parents in Alexandria, Egypt, he started his career as member of the rock band Aphrodite’s Child, along with Vangelis. He then pursued a solo career as a pop singer with numerous hits.
